Type 5 magazines on this site are redefined from the established norm. The Vintage1911s.com Type 5 magazine category is reserved for full blued magazines with pinned (riveted) base plate attachment.
This type of magazine pre-dates the magazines with welded base plates that were not approved for use until mid-1943. This information will cause us to consider which magazines were shipped with the early Ithaca and Remington Rand pistols.
