We are building reliable research resource for the collecting community – with emphasis not only on “reliable”, but also on “community”. We rely on members to help us keep the information fact-based and accurate.

Among our current membership, we count some of the top collectors of vintage 1911 pistols, not only in the U.S. but also across the globe. Vintage1911s.com is tapping into the greatest knowledge base ever assembled on this topic.

As this site expands to include discussion forums and classified advertising it’s important that we know there’s a connection between users; a community we can trust. Your free membership includes access to the discussion groups and the classified ads. (Sellers are charged a small stipend to advertise.)

Plans for the near future include a much deeper dive into research information; essays, blog articles, and an extensive gallery showing details to look for on various pistols in all serial number ranges. Advanced collectors will find great value in this “subscription only” section of the site.
