We offer two (2) service packs for the 1911 Gov’t model pistols. Our type I kit contains a factory equivalent recoil spring (16 lb.), extra power firing pin spring (this helps prevent slam fires in older pistols before the firing pin safety block), a factory equivalent hammer spring (23 lb.), magazine catch spring, plunger tube spring, firing pin safety spring and sear spring.
The type II service pack contains all of the springs in the Type I service pack with the addition of a factory equivalent 7 round magazine spring. Here is the link to the Colt 1911, Government model, service pack page on our web site.
